Every Sunday at 10:30 am : Worship with the congregation or join Children’s Church (for elementary school children up to third grade after the Children’s Chat) Nursery is available for pre-schoolers.

Make Lunch for Habitat for Humanity, August 9^th, 9 am : Meet at St. John’s to prepare lunch for the workers at the Habitat for Humanity build site.

Williamsport  Crosscutters Game, August 31^st: The game starts at 6 pm at Bowman Field in Williamsport . Meet at St. John’s at 4:45 pm to carpool.

Greetings to All,

            It is hard to believe that summer is almost over! When we met at the beginning of the summer to plan events, two goals (along with others) were on our list: service and fun. You certainly met those goals on the day of the Chicken Barbeque. Thank you to everyone that worked that day! Your smiling faces made the day more fun for all of us. Thank you also to the youth that went to see Diana Hettinger in High School Musical. Diana and the whole cast did a great job!

            Two events are planned for August: one for service (lunch for the Habitat for Humanity build site) and one for pure fun (a Crosscutters baseball game).

            The people from Habitat for Humanity were grateful for the gifts that you shared with them during Vacation Bible School and would like to continue a partnership. Since members of youth group are too young to work on the build site, we will find other ways to help such as providing lunch for the workers at the build site. We are scheduled to provide lunch on August 9^th. I hope that you are available to help on that day at 9 am . After preparing lunch, we will deliver the lunch to the build site. If you are not available that Saturday morning but would like to contribute food or baked goods, give me a call (523-0540) to arrange a drop off of your food.

            Mike Roberts and Keystone Staffing have generously donated tickets for a Williamsport Crosscutters game on August 31st. The game is at 6 pm in Williamsport . Meet at St. John’s at 4:45 pm to carpool to this event. A baseball game during the last days of August will be a great way to end the summer!
